Foundation launches new web site
Written by Site Admin

The new TLF website will be going live this week at www.lenkiewiczfoundation.org

The website is the first of two planned by The Lenkiewicz Foundation. The current site will carry news of exhibitions of work by Robert Lenkiewicz and related educational events. It is also a resource for museums, galleries and other organisations wishing to exhibit the artist's work or address its themes in their education programmes. The second site, which will be launched next year, will feature the large archive of material that the Foundation will inherit, including the artist's illustrated notebooks, writings and other works on paper. Most of this material has never been seen by the public and TLF view its publication as one of their main priorities.

As well as providing a point of contact for the charity, one of the goals of the new website is to re-launch the Friends group. Trustee Nina Calder has been tasked specifically to liaise with the Friends. TLF is offering all Friends a FREE trial membership that lasts until January 2009. Former Friends who register through the website or use the application form being sent to them by TLF can obtain free tickets for admission to the exhibition of Self-Portraits (1956 – 2002) at the Ben Uri Gallery in London. Friends can request a ticket for the exclusive Friends Private View to be held on Friday 3 October 2008 between 6.30 – 8.30pm or a free family pass for any day of the exhibition between 26 September and 16 November.

In addition to various membership benefits, such as free access to premises that will house the permanent collection, becoming a Friend now includes constitutional rights within the charity aimed at greater openness and accountability. The main change is that Friends can now elect a representative from their ranks who can attend general meetings of the charity. There will also be a quarterly newsletter keeping Friends up to date with developments.

The site is fully functional but still bedding in, so lenkiewicz.org visitors are encouraged to test out the site. If you have any issues using the site or suggestions as to how it could be improved, just drop the TLF a line at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it Your feedback will be much appreciated. Anyone using the automated log-ins for the TLF's e-newsletter or membership application form should hear back from the charity within a couple of days — if not, contact them again at the same email address to make sure your registration details were received.
