Water colour of my Mum
« on: September 15, 2009, 05:31:21 PM »

Good Morning

Robert painted an A4 size water colour of my mum around 1974. It only took him around 2 hours and was a present for her paid for by my Dad on a rainly day on the Barbican. Are there millions of these around or does this have any sort of value - roughly. It should be worth more than the pencil sketches shouldn't it?

Thank you.

Do you have a photo of the painting, eastender? That might help some of the more knowledgeable people here to give you a rough idea.

From what you've written, it's probably worth more than the Barbican pencil sketches. How much more would depend on quality and condition, obviously.

I now have .jpg image. How do I get it on here so you can see.
Or if anyone wants to see it then put your email on here and I can email it direct.

The easiest way is to go to an image-sharing site like http://tinypic.com. You upload your picture there and they give you a link that begins with img in square brackets [] and ends with /img in square brackets. You need to copy that link exactly and post it in a message here, and your picture should appear.

If you need any help or further instructions, please ask.   Smiley

It's probably not a good idea to give email addresses out in a public forum like this because there are clever pieces of software scanning the web and harvesting these for use by junk email senders.

Here's a sample image which I uploaded to tinypic just a minute ago.
