The so-called 'Sygun Museum of Wales' are perennial fakers of artists' work. I had a run-in with them last year over another artist. They try to hide a disclaimer of 'attributed to' in the small print to cover themselves legally but this is hopelessly inadequate. I have forgotten the name of the so-called 'curator' who issues the certificate of (in)authenticity but I'll try and find out again. I have now emailed them (I rang but no answer) to warn them, threatening legal action - it's not just a threat. There will always be odd fakes or misattributed works out there (that studio stamp is a real problem) but the serial fakers like the Sygun Museum need to be stopped. If there are any .org members lost in snow in North Wales, can they check out this bunch of chancers? Maybe best look first in the cellar to find the forger.
