I'm baffled.'Lucinda'now shows no bids and sale ended.Whats happening?

Hey, that's not fair, I was the highest bidder too...

True, actually. I rang our friends at the Sygun twice but no reply - probably busy in the studio. So I emailed them and warned them off. No reply. Then I complained to Ebay, received a rather generic automated response, and complained again. In the meantime, I left a large bid on the picture. Obviously, I wasn't going to pay but it would stop anyone else buying it. As I suspected, the bidding then soared as I reckon there's a bidding scam there too, otherwise how do they have such good feedback from those fakes? Then an email arrived from Ebay saying the listing had been withdrawn, followed by one to all bidders from Sygun saying they had withdrawn the painting 'as there was some doubt about it'! You couldn't make it up. They're wrong there too - there's no doubt whatsoever about it, a genuine 100% fake.
Today there's another more personal email from Ebay suggesting as copyright holder TLF joins their Verified Rights Owner programme, so hopefully we may be able to contain this in future.
I've also suggested Ebay investigate this particular seller as I'm struggling to find anything genuine in their listings. Some like their so-called 'John Bratby' don't even have the 'attributed to' caveats. Amazing - who are these con-men?
